Welcome

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Well everyone seemed to love the picture of Logan yesterday so I thought it only fair to share our baby Bella tonight. Bella is our 3 year old yorkie, she is a big baby but we love her. Of course she is named after Bella from Twilight, I was saving Renesme for our daughter but that got vetoed (pretty quick). There is a rather funny story behind Bella.......You see growing up we always had bigger dogs and I always kinda hated little ones and thought they were just yippie little things. Well about 10 years ago my parents got the cutest little yorkie (who I now refer to as the porkie yorkie) CeeJay, and when my dad told me they were getting her I told him he was a sucker and couldn't believe he let my mom talk him into a little dog! Well you couldn't help but love her, she was so cute and she smiled so that alone melted your heart. I was hooked, I liked little dogs! And then when I lost my baby Ethan she would cuddle up with me and I loved her snuggles and from that moment on I wanted my own little snuggly CeeJay, so I finally talked my parents into breeding their puppy so I could have my puppy. Now not only do I have a CeeJay puppy but my parents do too, she only had 2 live puppies and my mom couldn't sell the other one so she ended up keeping Sami Sue, and though not so smart she too is cute.

Here is my Bella!

Lazy days.........I love lazy days at home with nothing important to do but listen to the kids play and visit with my friend. We had a sleepover last night with my best friend Jen and her 2 kids and it was wonderful, the 5 kids played so well together and were so good while we visited and vegged out on the couch watching movies (well I watched movies, she fell asleep :) but I am used to it). Spent the morning eating donuts (my favorite) and doing NOTHING else important. It was great!! Now this evening Mady went to Nana's and Mason has a friend over so Myleigh has resorted to playing with the dogs.......I don't know that Logan was too happy about it, but he didn't get up and leave her. Good dog Logie bear!

Logan is a 5 year old GoldenDoodle, he is a great family dog and doesn't shed!!

I missed last nights post due to the FLU :( Sorry if any of you were looking for it, I was in bed by 8:00 and spent most of the day on the couch.

Today was a much better day, thank goodness. I spent the day with my family and doing a little bit of work....a fun little maternity session. This evening we had some great friends come over and hang out while the kids played and we ate pizza and watched a movie. During intermission (putting in the second movie) I went into the kitchen to get some ice cream (yummy) and found the boys playing army men. I had to watch them for a few minutes because they were so cute, the imagination of a child is absolutely priceless. It's funny how I remember vividly playing house and barbies yet to sit and play with the girls now......I just can't do it. I mean I can but I just feel silly and at a loss for what to do or say, it's a little awkward. Does this make me a bad mom??? I wish my childhood imagination hadn't left, it was fun and I miss it.

Here is a picture of the boys playing, my wish for them is a never ending imagination!

Cheese! We eat a lot of spaghetti in our house, everyone except for Mason loves it and we don't count Mason since he only likes cereal and peanut butter sandwiches. Lately whenever we eat spaghetti Myleigh would just assume eat the parmesan cheese and forget the spaghetti. I think we have gone through at least 5 things of cheese in the last couple of months, especially since she thinks she has to have it in front of her while eating. Now I know "whose the mom" and "why don't you just tell her no", well I say pick your battles and look at how cute she is with cheese all over her face as she tries to clean up her mess, gotta love that cheesy face!

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

I was going to go to bed this evening and not worry about doing a picture of the day, because frankly the whole day has made my head hurt! Don't get me wrong there was a lot of things that happened throughout the day to make me smile, such as Myleigh being silly this morning while playing with Bella and belly laughing so hard that it was contagious or Madyson loping her pony and doing a good job getting after her when she would kick out or even Mason reading his chapter book to me in such a fluent tone. That was all perfect and makes me smile just thinking about it, but today was also the day that I took are cute little guinea pig babies to the pet store and felt terrible leaving them behind and then listening to the kids cry when I got home :( I felt horrible but we are way to out numbered by pets in this house. And then for the last 6 hours I have been working on something new for the business and it has to do with computers and programming and well that is not my area of expertise. It will be awesome when it's done and I can't wait to share and thanks to a wonderful lady in San Diego that is on one of my facebook forums it should be done in just a few days :) So stay tuned for something new!!! But for now I am off to take some Ibuprofen and head to bed!!

A son is born! {Columbus Ohio Newborn Photographer}

Welcome little David! I was anxiously awaiting this little boy for 6 months! Mom was on the ball and contacted me really early, which was great! His big sister is so proud of him as is his daddy who he is named after. A beautiful new family of 4, one girl and now one boy! Congratulations Bright family!

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

My brother is going to KILL me if he follows my posts.......I was a bad girl today. (hehehe)

This is my story........my mom was watching my nephew Cooper this morning and happened to stop by for a little visit, after all I am her favorite and it is Valentines day ;) Myleigh was very excited to see Cooper and play with him and he was actually excited to play with her as well, this rarely happens. So as Myleigh and Cooper were playing she decides it is time to put on a princess dress, which I helped her with........and then.........she thought that Cooper needed a dress too! I didn't think he would do it but he did, so I let him....after all who am I to tell him he can't be a princess too. I just went and got my camera like a good Aunt and Sister would do, these are the priceless moments we live for after all.  But I do have to be honest, once he got it on and looked down at himself he looked back at me and said "I think I'd rather just be SpiderMan"!!! I laughed at him and told him he had to pose for a picture first so again he did it, which I was again surprised because he NEVER lets me take a good picture of him. All I can say is BLACKMAIL............or payback is hell and I better watch out for Curt may not be very nice to me!!!

Happy Valentines Day!

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Home sick today.......Madyson said she had a tummy ache so she spent the day in my bed. I hate when they say they have a tummy ache, because I never know if I should believe them and if I do if I let them stay home. Well since Madyson started crying while eating breakfast and didn't want to finish it I figured she was telling the truth, because Madyson LOVES to eat (she gets that from her mommy). I hope she feels better tomorrow, I don't want her to miss her Valentines day party at school and not bring me home any yummy chocolate!

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Valentines Day is just around the corner and today we had to decorate boxes for school........I dread projects like this! I know that sounds horrible, but let me explain. I know that the kids should do their own boxes and I should let them use their creativity, but sometimes their creativity just doesn't look very good and I want them to have cute boxes to take to school but I don't want to do them either. Well I was very proud of them both today, I did help some with wrapping the box but they did a great job of coming up with cute ideas......and they kept repeating "less is more" which is something I always tell them when doing projects like this and stressed before they started today. So today was the boxes, tomorrow the valentines!

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Today was so much fun! I had the pleasure of hosting a little get together with some other Ohio photogs that I have connected with through facebook and chit chat about business, family, cameras and life. I love that we are able to help each other out and learn from each other, but I also just love having someone to talk to that shares my passion for photography. Today a bunch of the girls were wanting to play with studio lights and so I volunteered my studio space and lights and some adorable little models. I knew Madyson would be happy to help out but it turned out that Myleigh wanted in on the action too so here is one that I got of the two of them before Myleigh decided she was done.

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

I love my girls! How many of you still hang out with your friends from grade school?? I have a couple of girls that I have been friends with since I was in kindergarten and I am so happy that we are still GREAT friends! For the last couple of years we have made "girls nights" a regular thing, and try to do them once every month to six weeks, get dressed up and go to dinner and a movie. I love my girls nights, and am so thankful to all of our husbands for letting us do this without any complaints as they stay home with the kids and "babysit" as my husband says.

Tonight we went to see The Vow, a total chic flick and a tear jerker all in one so you know it had to be good. We all loved it and agree that Channing Tatum could make us fall in love with him over and over again and it would be just fine! Seriously though it was a wonderful movie and did you know that it is actually based off of a true story?? I am happy to say that in real life the couple that inspired this movie are still together and have 2 boys! Gotta love a happy ending.

My girls and I AFTER our night out.....after crying and smearing all of our make up.......and after making my husband get out of bed to take my blog picture for me......Thank you Steven!

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

So if you have been reading these blog posts you may remember the other night when I posted the pictures from Madyson's room of her art work.......we have another piece of artwork. You see Papa came over yesterday with a dollar for her and bought 4 pictures from her which completely made her day. So today after school her and Taylor got right to work on more pictures to sell........only instead of a quarter they have them priced anywhere from $10 to $50! That is some expensive construction paper ;) When my mom came over today Mady tried to get her to buy a picture of a flower for $10.75, it had the price tag attached. Needless to say my mom didn't buy it and it is still up for grabs if anyone wants it, along with about 20 other pictures. She was nice enough to make me a picture this evening of my favorite picture that my dad had bought, it is of a shooting star. Take a look........

I love how kids interpret things, don't you!

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

SISTERS..........LOVE! I spent the day in the studio with Myleigh cleaning and playing. It looks so much better down there and I got a few cute pictures of the baby.......she was acting like a BIG baby most of the time! When Madyson and Mason got home from school Mady came down and started watching TV in the studio and wanted to "hang out" in there for awhile.....she was being good (translation...quiet) so I wasn't going to stop her. I could here Myleigh down there with her as I was working on emails and this is what I found.......

They were dressing up, doing hair and dancing.....it was priceless. These are the memories I want to remember of my girls, because I am sure in another 10 years it will be all DRAMA!

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Who doesn't love a fun pair of mud boots?? I was shopping today with my mom and Myleigh for some new photo props and founds these adorable boots, so of course I HAD to get them............and matching dresses for the girls too! This is just a little teaser of whats to come! I see a photoshoot in our future, and it is going to be so cute! I have a little bit of prep work to do to get ready and then I just need to wait for the perfect day. The girls are loving their new boots, and Myleigh thinks it is so neat that her and Mady have matching boots. She was wearing them all around the house this evening and yelling at Madyson in cave baby talk to put her boots on and follow her, it was so cute.

I LOVE fun photoshoots, especially with accessories as cute as these! Stay tuned people, it's bound to be pinned on pinterest! (by me!)

Oh and doesn't Myleigh have the cutest chubbiest little knees?!

Day 38

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Scotch tape anyone??? I went up to my daughters room this evening to tuck her in and found her room has been redecorated. Now I thought it was pretty cute before with the stripes and ribbon I painted but apparently she thought it was missing some REAL artwork so she made her own, along with my niece Taylor. She asked me if I thought she could sell her artwork if she framed it?? Kids ;)

Some of her new artwork! We have a tree with birds and a hole with a squirrel...

And a wall of horses...
And a wall of bunnies....
And we can't forget the cats/tigers.......

I hope you have enjoyed your tour of the Museum de Madyson! We are now out of construction paper and tape. She would like you all to know that you can purchase any of these pictures for a quarter!

A girly girl and her brother...Ava & Nicholas {Columbus Ohio, Child Photographer}

These two came to the studio for 3 year old pictures and 3 month old pictures, the studio was spilling over with cuteness! Big sister Ava did fabulous and I think she had a lot of fun with the pettiskirt on as she twirled and fluffed the skirt like a diva. And Nicholas was all boy and a little more curious as to what was going on and why we were all in his face talking silly, he gave us a few smiles and a lot of curious more serious looks.

They are both in the Sweetest Valentine contest, go check them out and place a vote!

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

I LOVE my husband! You don't see many pictures of him, as he usually shields his face from my camera or shuts his eyes really tight (you know how kids do so they can't see you, because you know if they can't see you then you can't see them!) in an effort for me to just walk away. Well tonight he was doing what he does best, being a good daddy and cuddling with Myleigh so I could get some work done. He is always so willing to help with the kids and I am so thankful he is better at helping the twins with their homework than I am, gives me anxiety to do second grade homework with 7 year olds!

So here is one from tonight of Myleigh and Steven watching the Super Bowl! Don't let the smile fool you, she was wanting him to change the channel the whole time!

Day 36

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

I LOVE PERSEVERANCE! Today was a day of overwhelming joy and I was so honored to be a part of it and celebrate this miracle baby.  I have known Nikki since kindergarten, the cute little red head with the pony tail, bows and dresses that used to LOVE NKOTB and has been crushing on Justin since we were in Junior high. I have so many memories from our childhood and am so happy to have a friend that is so sweet and kind and has always been such a bright light, always shining, loving life and dancing to her own beat.

Two years ago my friend called me to tell me she was pregnant with twins, and things were looking scarey for them. She called me for support and wanted to talk to someone who has been there........only I have never been to where her journey took her and JJ. Unfortunately the twin sons she carried were lost and were followed by 5 more miscarriages over the last 2 years, heart break after heart break my friends NEVER gave up the hope of one day being parents.

And then a trip to California away from all of the stresses of infertility and heart break, just the two of them being together and enjoying life as it was. They knew this would be their last trip without kids for a long time as they had just finished adoption classes to hopefully find their child that would make the happy couple a happy family of 3. Little did they know that all they needed was some fresh California air to beat the odds that they had been facing, because baby Cali (that's what I have been calling him since she told me she was pregnant), their miracle baby was conceived.

And today at 15 weeks we saw him dance and kick and stretch and yes we saw some little boy parts! Baby boy Jason will be here in June!!!! So I love the perseverance these two have shown without it this baby boy would not be here for us to celebrate.

What ever it takes!!!!!

I love you Nikki and Justin and baby boy Cali!

Day 35

They had a room full of spectators today waiting to celebrate with them.

Justin had this same smile on his face the whole time, he is one proud daddy and husband!

They just found out it's a BOY! Nikki knew it was a boy, she just had that feeling!

Aren't they adorable, I can't wait until he arrives and they are holding their baby instead of his picture.

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Who doesn't love to see siblings getting along and playing together! Myleigh and Mason both love playing on the ipad, that is what they are doing in my bed....under the covers, but they don't usually play with the same one together happily. Love it! Oh and I don't know how many of you have little ones that play with ipads, computers or phones but I can not believe how good Myleigh is at it. She amazes me with how well she knows it and can get from one game to the next and play, her favorite right now is Tozzle, it is a bunch of puzzles and she is REALLY good.

Good night all! Busy day tomorrow in the studio, have a newborn coming in........which is one more thing I love!!!

Day 34

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Every week since the day my kids were born my Grammie comes to visit, help out, and even play with them. I feel so blessed that I have grandparents in my life and who love to spend time with my kids, and they love it too. I actually have 2 sets of grandparents and a great grandma still here with me and in my kids lives, how lucky are we! Today my Grammie Jan was up and playing with Myleigh, that kid really takes advantage of Grammie and drags her all around making her play all sorts of things.  Of course Grammie loves every minute of it and never disappoints.

Love you Grammie!

Day 33

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

I LOVE.........Beautiful days!!

Wow, I can't believe today was over 50 degrees and sunny. This is one of the things that I love, being able to walk around outside with NO shoes on taking pictures of the pretty blue sky with puffy white clouds. I always joke that I wish my parents would have moved to a beautiful sunny state when I was young, because now that I am older I can't imagine leaving Ohio behind and moving somewhere pretty and sunny......although I would in a second if everyone here that I love would follow me. So when I can escape the cold winter with the frozen ground, a couple feet of snow, all bundled up and still have frozen toes and chattering teeth and still be in Ohio with all of my friends and family then I am HAPPY!

I hope you all enjoyed this beautiful day!

Day 32

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Sugar and Spice and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of.............and TEA PARTY'S!! If you know me you know how much I love that Myleigh is a girly girl, babies and barbies and dressing up along with the drama and meltdowns that unfortunately comes along with it, but hey I'll take it! Madyson is a bit of a girly girl now when it comes to dresses, glitter, and rainbows but not with dolls and dress up. When Madyson was little she loved Disneys Cars and Dinosaurs, she wouldn't even touch a baby doll...believe me, I tried! I as a little girl played with barbies until I was in Junior high and playing house was a favorite. I think I loved it so much because I loved pretending I was a mommy, maybe because I had such a wonderful mom that I wanted to be just like her or maybe because I knew in my heart it was all I ever really wanted to be. But now watching Myleigh gather her dolls and play tea party with them and talk to them, and kiss them and serve them cookies well I was a little emotional. Because she is just to darn cute you get 2 for today!

Starting tomorrow night and for the whole month of February I am going to show you things and people and places that I love! I figured it is a great time to do it with it being the month for LOVE. So if you want to have some ideas of things to get me for my birthday, keep watching! :)

Day 31

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

UGH! I meant to post earlier but I was drug into lay down with Myleigh until she fell asleep! She has been glued to my side since I got back from my weekend in Florida. I don't think she liked me being gone very much and is now punishing me with NO privacy or time to do anything but hold her and play with her. She sat on my lap all day while I edited and answered emails. So my image today was going to be her and I glued together in the mirror....but then Madyson really wanted me to take her picture at dance class, so that won. Madyson loves dance and has been taking it up at All Ohio Shine for 3 years now. This year she is in Rock Pom and loves that she gets to dance with pom poms. I had a picture of her with her coach, Nikki but I don't think Nikki was a fan of being on my blog tonight so Mady chose this one.

Day 30

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Home Sweet Home! So I was told I really disappointed last night with my picture, so I tried my best to do better today.....and what better way than a picture of me back home with my family. Long day of traveling back to COLD Ohio today, but am glad to be safe on the ground! My plane ride from Baltimore to Columbus was SCARY, way too much turbulence for me. I am glad the plane didn't just start rolling in the air and crash to the ground because with all the wind that's what it felt like it was going to do. It was headed to Vegas after it dropped me off in Columbus and I am thinking that all of those passengers should bet big because it is their lucky day!

Am so happy to be back home with the kids, although they have their grandma here right now so they aren't really caring that I am home. They are more concerned about how much longer she can stay....guess that will give me plenty of time to play with my new pictures and Lightroom (which I just installed).

My picture for day 29 (can you believe I have kept it up? I can't!)

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

I am running out of time, did you all think I forgot??? It's been a busy weekend down in Jacksonville for me, I just finished up with a wedding workshop with the amazing Julie Paisley. I had a blast and learned a lot about weddings, now I am ready to meet some brides......who wants to go first???!!!! I am now back at the hotel and for the first time I think ever, staying all by myself away from home! This is kinda weird, but I might just enjoy the quiet peacefulness of the night. I am reading The Hunger Games and enjoying a cold Diet Coke......need the caffeine to stay awake and finish this book. I am addicted...to both Diet Coke and this book ;) If anyone is looking for a great book I highly recommend The Hunger Games, it is fabulous! Well I must get back to my reading, but keep an eye on my page the next couple of days for some awesome images of some beautiful Brides! Thank you Julie Paisley Photography for such an amazing weekend and thanks to all of the Talented and Wonderful new friends I have made for being so sweet and nice. Love you all and I can't wait to meet up again.

This is my night tonight!

Day 28

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Happy Birthday Myleigh!!!! My baby girl turned 2 today, and I am in Florida at a workshop :( I can't believe that she is already two years old, the time has gone by so fast! I love being a mommy and am so blessed to have 3 wonderful children!

Since I am gone I did some "facetime" with the girls on the ipad, I LOVE technology that lets me see them while I am away. And Myleigh was so happy to talk to me and sing happy birthday with me.

Short post tonight since I have so much to do......sorry!

Day 27

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Frinkles anyone?? With my parents and grandma on vacation in Florida, I got the pleasure of keeping my nephew Cooper today. Now sometimes Cooper LOVES coming and playing at my house and sometimes he HATES it! I wanted him to feel special and be excited about it....you know be the cool fun Aunt, so I told him last night that he could help me make a cake for Myleigh today. He was so excited about it, he talked about it all night last night and all day today! So when Myleigh took her nap this afternoon Cooper and I made a cake. I had all kinds of stuff for him to decorate the cake and make it as crazy and fun looking as he wanted........I thought I would regret this as he is 3 and he could've said lets just put it all on. But all he wanted was Finkles! Lots and lots of Orange Frinkles, that's sprinkles for those of you who don't talk "Cooper". So I gave him all the sprinkles I had and he spent the next 45 minutes decorating the cake, and in that 45 min he barely put any on but was very careful about where he placed each one. It was so cute watching him and listening to his excitement over making Myleigh's birthday cake, he is so cute. I am so glad that I am an Aunt!

Day 26

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

I love that my kids play so well together! Don't get me wrong they fight and bicker too, but for the most part they really enjoy being together and play really well together. I don't know if it's a twin thing or just good parenting :).....probably a twin thing. When they were little they had a little twin language and would communicate with each other through a babble that only they understood, I loved that babble! Sometimes I wish I could just stop time and keep them this age for a little longer, they are growing up so fast......the babble is long gone, the first teeth have been lost, and the drama has begun. Before I know it they will be driving off in their first car, packing to go to college and getting married........I can't wait to see where life takes them but I would be happy if every once in a while I could just push a pause button and enjoy them a little longer at each stage of their lives. I am now going to go upstairs and give my two oldest a great big hug and then go snuggle with Myleigh for awhile.

Day 25

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

We have now added another activity to our schedule.....Mason had his first basketball practice tonight! He was so excited about it all day and was counting down the hours till he got to go, that never happened with baseball, so I am hoping he really enjoys this. If you know Mason at all you know he is like a bull in a china shop, he falls down all the time! Well I am happy to announce that he managed to stay on his feet for the entire practice! I was amazed.....he was running, dribbling, shooting and blocking and he NEVER fell down! And the angels sang :) I hope this is a great season for him and his friends, his two best friends are on his team so this should be fun! Good luck Yellow team!!!

Day 24

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

SURPRISE!!!! Oh my goodness.....I was not counting on this when I woke up this morning! A fun trip to the pet store 6 months ago to get 2 little guinea pigs for the kids has exploded into a Guinea Pig FARM! Do I need a license or permit for this??? We thought we had 2 girls when we started this journey and were surprised with a baby 3 months ago and although we were not expecting this nor really wanting this.....we do love her. But now we have TWO more little blessings, and not enough cage space........So who wants a baby guinea pig???? I'll even throw in a mini session with your new family member!!! Who can pass that up?? Check out these two cuties!

Day 23

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

What a busy day in the Kinter house today, I had 3 sessions today and the kids had playdates and Steve had football to watch! I was a little panicked this morning that I wouldn't get anything good from today for my picture since I was working all day and the kids were gone. I wanted to get them playing in all the snow, but that didn't happen......so I took a boring picture of Myleigh playing on the ipad, since that is one of her new loves. But then I walked into the kitchen to see her helping herself to ice cream, and ding, ding, ding we had a WINNER!!! This kid is an eater and loves her sweets, she gets it honestly though so I can't get mad at her. We usually keep the ice cream outside in the garage freezer, guess we should move it back there ASAP! Silly Girl :)

Day 22

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Our last day in sunny Florida.......have to pack up and go home to snowy Ohio! We didn't do much today, I tried to be as lazy as possible....after all it is vacation. We have so many wonderful memories from this week and our time in Florida with my parents. I can't thank them enough for renting this beautiful house for the month and sharing it with us, thank you....thank you....THANK YOU!!!

Our home for the last week!

Day 21

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

We saw WINTER today! I took the kids to see the movie Dolphin Tale in the theaters back when it first came out and ever since then they have been watching her live on line via webcam, so we had to come visit her. How much fun to see a *STAR*, the kids and I loved it....Steve gave it 2 thumbs down :( He's just a party pooper! Here is a picture of Winter up close.

Day 20

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

Went to the beach today to play in the ocean and build sand castles! The kids had a blast and I had so much fun watching them. I had high hopes of getting some cute pictures of the kids together all dressed up on the beach......that didn't happen. I tried not to let it bother me to much that the kids did NOT want their pictures taken AGAIN, I know they get tired of having my camera in their face and me telling them where to go and what to do. But Myleigh saw the pettiskirt and wanted it on so I put it on her and let her play on the beach in it, this was one of her running for her Papa. I love her big smile and knowing that 2 seconds later she fell in the water and jumped right back up with a giggle. I don't know if it's my favorite from today but I do love it.

Day 19

365 of my everyday life {Columbus Ohio, Newborn, Baby and Child Photographer}

We had a wonderful and relaxing day today just hanging out at house and playing in the pool. Madyson is a little fish and was probably in the pool for at least 10 hours! She is really getting good at swimming and is so proud of herself. Mason is about as graceful in the water as he is on land....which is not very, but he also is doing great with his swimming and loved showing off to everyone. Myleigh is a little timid of the water, which I don't mind one bit but also had a good time. She played in the pool this morning for a couple of hours and then took a 4 hour nap! So when she woke up I was anxious to get her back in the pool to wear her out for bed time...I hope it works! I swam some and watched some, as fun as it is in the pool with the kids I also love watching them from the side as they play with their dad or my parents. I love days like this, hanging out with those I love the most and really enjoying each other.

She really did have fun today, this was right after her 4 hour nap so I think she was still in the cuddling trying to wake up stage. I love it though, her big eyes and the gentleness of my dad as he cuddles her. I will love this always and forever!

FAMILY PICTURE DAY!!!! Eeeeekkkkkk!!! Wow, how stressful....but worth it. I have been wanting to get family pictures for awhile, I have just been so busy with the business and with life that it keeps getting pushed to the back burner. And then a couple of weeks ago I read a story about a family who didn't get a chance to do family pictures and it was too late because the mom passed away. I don't ever want to say "I wish I would've", I want these memories for my kids and their kids, and for my walls now.  There is nothing in this life I love or cherish more than my family, so there is nothing I would rather have than beautiful pictures of us all together. So what better time than when we are on vacation and have nothing to do but hang out together as a family. So even though I am most comfortable behind the lens, I got over my self consciousness and got in front of that big scary lens :) And it wasn't so bad, I am so excited to see what our photographer was able to get and I can't wait to get a nice big canvas of my family for our wall.....I'm thinking 40x60!

I am so lucky to have a wonderful photographer friend that I went to high school with down here in Florida, Becky from B Photography did an amazing job being patient with my 3 rug rats! I can't thank her enough for her time and her talent, she is fabulous and not only helped me out with family pictures tonight but also with many questions and critiques over the last year of my journey into this world of photography. Thank you so much Becky!

Todays picture is from our session and shows how uncooperative my children are!

Day 17

Day 2 of vacation we went shelling with Nana and Papa on Sanibel Island, the kids had a blast. It was a beautiful day and so many things went on that I don't even know where to start...and pictures, well I took a TON of them. I think I have 300 pictures from today, but it wasn't hard to pick my picture(s) of the day. The first one is of my mom and the girls, I just love how much she loves them and all she does for us. Madyson and my mom had the most fun today, they both LOVE shells and it was so much fun watching them collect them together. I am glad they got to do this together, I am sure Madyson will always remember this and I hope cherishes the moments like this as she grows up.

And because I couldn't choose, and the next picture makes my heart smile I had to share it too. I don't know why, but to see my dad with my kids just makes me happy. I love seeing men with their kids, whether it is a new dad and his itty bitty baby or a Papa and his grandson. I am sure Mason was talking his ear off and being a little annoying but my dad managed to walk all the way down the beach and back with a smile and at the end still talking with him :) I love how Mason is smiling, he is so happy to have alone time with Papa.

Today was our first full day in Florida, it was so nice to wake up to the sun! For our family activity of the day today we went into Ft.Myers to Manatee Park to see the manatees up close and personal. It was a cheap ($3 for the car) and wonderful experience. I have many pictures to show of our time there....

Day 15
While we were there we walked the manatee trail along the canal and there were a ton of butterfly's, which is one of Madyson's favorite things! At home the kids love to run through the hay fields in the spring, summer and fall and catch as many butterfly's as they can and put them in their butterfly houses for the day. And then they release them and do it all over again the next day! This butterfly was a favorite for both kids, they loved the stripes.

As we were walking Myleigh kept trying to get away from us and run towards the playground area....this was one of the pictures I took of them coming back from catching her from one of her take offs! Notice Madyson cracking up and Steve a little annoyed :)

So because Mady thought it was so funny and Steve saw no humor in it, he gave her the job of holding on to her.....she did better than daddy did!

We finally let her play and run off some energy! She LOVED the slide and probably went down it 100 times.

The other two played on the playground for awhile but then started playing by a really neat tree and exploring around it.
